Long time no blog. I know.
When I'm "happy," I seem to be able to put my thoughts together more coherently. When I'm not, which is most of the time, I'm unable to. Sort of turns the whole concept of the fucked-up artist on its head, I know. Anyway. . .
Last night was really good, which was even better after my fuck-up on Friday night. Had really good sushi due to a weird coincidence. A student that V. and I used to know really well happened to see us walking down the street in Great Barrington. She just caught me out of the corner of her eye through a window because she just happened to be standing in the bar and just happened to be working Sunday night only because it was Mother's Day. . .etc.
She got us a table at the sushi bar right in front of the owner/sushi chef, so we got to gab with him all night and watch him work. First time I've ever had sushi made by a non-Asian. (Loved it anyway). We ate and gabbed and ate some more and drank wine (me more than her, as usual) and watched the other diners and just had a good time, like we used to have. Spent way too much $$, but I didn't care. The drive home was great, too. No tension, nothing. Listened to Modest Mouse and didn't say much but that was alright too.
